CESO - Aboriginal Services In 1969, CESO Aboriginal Services began offering the services of its Volunteer Advisers (VAs) to Canada's First Nations as they began to emerge into a new world of greater self-government and economic independence. Since then, CESO has worked alongside more than 40,000 Aboriginal client-partners--entrepreneurs, Band and Tribal Councils, Non-status, Métis and Inuit communities, and women’s and youth groups from coast to coast. The goal of CESO Aboriginal Services is to build the capacity of Aboriginal individuals, communities and businesses to achieve greater self-sufficiency and growth.

National Aboriginal Circle Against Family Violence The organization has emerged from a series of grassroots-level consultations with Aboriginal family violence service providers. The first formal meeting was in 1999 at the University of Manitoba. A provincial steering committee met the following year to define a framework for the organization. By spring 2002, the organization was staffed, incorporated and conducted a national consultation to share best practices and challenges.

National Aboriginal Diabetes Association In 1984, the SUGAR Group (Strategies for Undermining Glucose in Aboriginal Races) was formed to address diabetes among Aboriginal Peoples. The Assembly of First Nations and the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs declared 1995 the Year of First Nations and Diabetes. Out of the 3rd International Conference on Diabetes and Indigenous Peoples, held in 1995, consensus was reached to form the National Aboriginal Diabetes Association.

Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada Pauktuutit's is the national voice of Inuit women in Canada. It advocates on behalf of Inuit women in an effort to ensure their input on national issues of concern to aboriginal peoples in Canada, and to increase their participation in federal policies and programs.
Pauktuutit's programs address the many social and health issues facing our communities. Pauktuutit broke the silence on painful and controversial issues such as child sexual abuse and violence against women.
